Christopher Nolan - One of the finest director in Hollywood... Ace of trump...

A British-American film director, screenwriter and producer.

As of October 2011, Nolan's films have earned a total over nearly USD$ 1.2 billion at the box office according to boxofficemojo.com

Just look at his track record.. what a successful graph...

He knows the curious nerve of viewer so where to hit hammer.
What are the themes which excite audience most? People do not know much about sleep, dreams, magic, memory thats why they want to be lost in them.
Nolan's movies give perfect perspective what viewers want to see but they don't know what they want. He has got 21 academy award nominations for his movies and won 6 of them.

He selects topic very carefully for his movies. This is the "check-mate" step for viewer. Viewer is not able to understand this trick and it's mind becomes helpless in front of fascination.

Memory - Memory is the theme which we do not know much about it's working but it attracts us. Memento (2002) is the movie about person who has short-term memory loss. Nolan used every confusing condition ( I would like to say Fine Editing) in the movie so viewer could lose its own memory.
you should have excellent memory to understand movie otherwise there is no difference between the central character and you.

Sleep and Dreams - There is mutual coordination between both and Nolan represents it perfectly

in movie Inception (2010). What a fine concept...
The three things I can't forget about this movie.
1) Layers of Dreams and in every deep layer, time is slower than previous.
2) If you fall from the chair.. it means its over.
3) and totem-a spinning top which perpetually spins in the dream state.

Magic - Magic has increased curiosity of human since edges. so this time one more fine concept by ace director... The Prestige (2006)... Magic and reality behind it. He defined three important parts of a magic trick, Pledge, Turn & Prestige and the movie was about Third part... The Prestige.
He brought a old concept with new polish... Rivalry ( The Pledge). A rivalry between two magicians who disrupt each other's acts but there was TURN in the movie... the real magic. And viewer was surprised to see the ending (The Prestige).

The batman series - The batman series was a fine artwork by him. How he developed the simple story in his magnificent way.

Batman Begins(2005) was applauded by critics. Even his every film was applauded by critics. he has got more than 80% every time by critics. The next adventure was The dark Knight (2008). It was more successful than previous but this time central character was not batman, this time it was a Villain... JOKER. Not only he got every one's attention but a academy award too.

Impressive

Self Appraisal

A little boy went to a telephone booth which was at the cash counter of a store and dialed a number. The store-owner observed and listened to the conversation:

Boy : "Lady, Can you give me the job of cutting your lawn?

Woman : (at the other end of the phone line) "I already have someone to cut my lawn."

Boy : "Lady, I will cut your lawn for half the price than the person who cuts your lawn now."

Woman : I'm very satisfied with the person who is presently cutting my lawn.

Boy : (with more perseverance) "Lady, I'll even sweep the floor and the stairs of your house for free.

Woman : No, thank you. With a smile on his face, the little boy replaced the receiver.

The store-owner, who was listening to all this, walked over to the boy.

Store Owner : "Son... I like your attitude; I like that positive spirit and would like to offer you a job."

Boy : "No thanks"

Store Owner : But you were really pleading for one.

Boy : No Sir, I was just checking my performance at the job I already have. I am the one who is working for that lady I was talking to!"

Excellence

A German once visited a temple under construction where he saw a sculptor making an idol of God. Suddenly he noticed a similar idol lying nearby. Surprised, he asked the sculptor, "Do you need two statues of the same idol?" "No," said the sculptor without looking up, "We need only one, but the first one got damaged at the last stage." The gentleman examined the idol and found no apparent damage. "Where is the damage?" he asked. "There is a scratch on the nose of the idol." said the sculptor, still busy with his work. "Where are you going to install the idol?"

The sculptor replied that it would be installed on a pillar twenty feet high. "If the idol is that far, who is going to know that there is a scratch on the nose?" the gentleman asked. The sculptor stopped his work, looked up at the gentleman, smiled and said, "I will know it."

PROJECT Manager working in an MNC, as usual after lunch goes to the cafeteria for coffee

He relaxes in canteen. He sees a canteen boy cleaning tables there.

To Kill time he decides to have fun with him..

He calls him.

PROJECT Manager - (Asks canteen boy) : How much do you earn?

Canteen boy smiles

PROJECT Manager - what are your future plans?

Canteen boy keeps quiet...

PROJECT Manager - where do you see yourself 10 years down the line?

Canteen boy gives a cold stare.

PROJECT Manager - Jab mai Bombay aaya tha tab mere paas bhi kuch nahi tha.

Aaj mere paas

Naam hai.

Shohrat hai.

Paisa hai............

Izzat Hai..............,

Tumhare paas kya hai?

Canteen boy - Saab mere paas bahut KAAM hai !!!

A man saw a small & poor boy looking at his expensive car.

Boy said - How much does it cost?

Man : I don't know, My brother has gifted to me.

Boy : So nice of him.

Man : I know what r u thinking, You also want to have a Brother like him.

Boy : No, I want to be a BROTHER like him.

Make a Difference

A man was walking down the beach at sunset. As, he walked along, he saw another man in the distance. He noticed this man kept leaning down, picking up something and throwing it out into the water, again and again. As, he approached even closer, he noticed that the man was picking up starfish that had been washed up on the beach. He was throwing them back into the water, one by one.

Puzzled, he approached the man and said, "Good Evening. I was wondering what you are doing."

"I'm throwing these starfish back into the ocean. You see, it's low tide and all these starfish have been washed up onto the shore. If, I don't throw them back into the ocean, they'll die up here from lack of oxygen."

"But, there must be thousands of starfish on this beach. You can't possible get to all of them. And, don't you realize this is probably happening on hundreds of beaches all up and down this coast. Can't you see that you can't possibly make a difference?"

The man bent down and picked up yet another starfish, and threw it back into the ocean. With a smile he replied, "Made a difference to that one !!!"
